Julia Hales is a passionate person, I saw that the moment I met her.

She’s a Perth-based actor who co-wrote the award-winning play You Know We Belong Together, which featured at the Perth Festival

I heard about Julia through theatre director Chris Kohn, who was working with her to develop a play called Screens looking at prenatal screening.

It coincided with the Federal Government considering changes to prenatal screening to include a DNA blood test on the Medicare benefits scheme.

Sixers win rain affected season opener | Sydney Sixers

The Sydney Sixers started the WBBL|06 campaign with a win defeating the Adelaide Strikers under the Duckworth Lewis Stern method in a rain affected match at North Sydney Oval on Monday.

Initially chasing 69 to win from nine overs, which was revised to 46 from six after a further rain delay shortened the chase, the Sixers secured victory with two balls to spare at 1/47.

In her first match back from her hamstring injury, captain Ellyse Perry claimed 0-8 from two overs and scored 14 not out from 16 balls. Player of the Match Alyssa Healy top-scored with 27 from 16 balls and took a great running catch with the gloves.
